About the role

As a copywriter at Albert, you will work closely with the marketing team to develop and manage copy for a range of projects, including online advertising, content marketing initiatives, brand messaging, email marketing, and communications/PR. As a small and growing team, we’re looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented creative professional to hone our brand voice and ensure that we’re communicating clearly and consistently across all relevant channels. You will help us hone our brand voice and ensure that we are speaking consistently to our audiences across a range of channels.

 

Success in this role requires a collaborative mindset, a strong sense of voice, and an ability to craft clear, engaging narratives around topics of personal finance. The right candidate will have worked with established or emerging consumer brands, managed a variety of writing projects, and have a natural instinct for communicating in a relatable way with millennials and zillennials.

Things you're good at

  • Voice: You write in a clear, professional style while maintaining a relatable, engaging voice. You love wordplay and have a well-developed sense of humor, but you don't sacrifice technique.
  • Range: You are as comfortable writing a 500-word blog post as you are crafting ad tag lines and brainstorming brand messaging.
  • Ownership. You are a self-starter who takes full responsibility for your work and deliverables, thinking holistically about the objectives of the projects you're working on.
  • Organization: You are detail-oriented and structured, taking a systematic approach to your work.
  • Communication: You always keep the lines of communication open and seek out feedback on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, compelling copy in a consistent voice anchored in the company’s brand
  • Work on a range of projects at any one time, including ad copy, content marketing initiatives, email marketing, brand messaging, and communications/PR
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to craft engaging, effective copy
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Interpret and guide creative direction to develop persuasive copy concepts

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a copywriter or in a related role
  • Demonstrated success in producing effective copy for consumer brands across brand marketing and advertising projects
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Strong sense of style and creativity
  • Solid time-management and organizational skills
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, or related field
