The Community Moderator joins a team that is responsible for creating and executing a digital strategy, and building and managing a strong online community with the goal of broadening our global audience as well as encouraging product sales. This includes moderating and monitoring forums, organically encouraging the audience’s purchase of the product, designing community engagement programs, and reporting community issues.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Includes managing twitter, Facebook, telegram, reddit, and others
  • Plan content and social posts for all categories within the community
  • Create and execute contests to drive engagement, sales, and audience reach
  • Work with marketing to drive commerce, promotions, and revenue growth
  • Review usage statistics and user feedback to modify editorial strategy and implementation
  • Drafting social post copy, planning and/or creating graphics
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Think and plan strategically to contribute to the Community team’s and company’s goals

Additional Activities:

  • Monitor and moderate user generated contents within our forums, and social media outlets to maintain positive environments for our customers to participate in. Requires attention to detail in determining which content is suitable for redistribution and on which channels
  • Publish content to social media outlets
  • Work with our community partners, such as fan sites, external forums and social media destinations for our brands
  • Consistently stimulate the conversation across all departments regarding the company’s community strategy, and ensure all departments are working towards developing a clear and healthy relationship with our communities
  • Identify promotional opportunities - ie: third-party mentions, repurposing existing content, researching positive attributes of other communities that can be applied to ours, presence on additional platforms etc
  • Provide basic customer assistance on social media channels when required

Requirements:

  • 3+ years managing online communities in the video gaming or cryptocurrency industries
  • Strong writing skills
  • Forums and/or community tools experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good project management and problem solving skills
  • This is a remote-based position and working alongside a remote team, therefore excellent time management skills are a must to excel in this position.
