We are Mythical Games. A Venture-backed next-generation game technology company at the intersection of video games, NFTs, and blockchain led by industry veterans. Our goal is to lead the industry with the launch of exceptional video game experiences that leverage distributed ledger technology, while also providing a platform of robust tools that will allow any other game developers to do the same. 

We are currently looking for a Community Manager to be based in our Sherman Oaks, CA office or Seattle, WA office.  The Community Manager will report to our Director, Community, and will be responsible for driving development, execution, measurement, and growth for Mythical Games brands, like Blankos Block Party. We are looking for someone to be the voice of the community to the dev team, and the voice of the dev team to the community.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Execution of content calendar management and social media channel strategies for the Mythical Games brand.
  • Oversee community engagement across all platforms and use insights to more effectively engage the audience.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that all work is grounded in community understanding, data and insights and is structured to deliver data-driven results.
  • Build reports on key topics and issues in the community and deliver these to stakeholders to help drive decision-making with a player-first approach. Use data tools to inform decisions.
  • Be the champion of the audience: ensure that the editorial agenda serves our growing community.
  • Build exposure across key social channels by leveraging relationships with cross-functional teams to further the reach and fame of our content.
  • Develop an approach for moderation working with community leaders, in-game and out-of-game.
  • Collaborate on platform-specific global strategies to increase the Mythical Games presence across Discord, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Twitch, YT, Snapchat as well as any emerging social media sites that allow us to continuously evolve and increases followers and drives engagement.
  • Clearly identify growth and engagement goals across each platform
  • Execute posting or optimizing posts as needed, including adjusting copy, images, publish times, social partnerships, blog writing, and streaming.
  • Find new ways to engage the creator community and help support content creators across various platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience overseeing the social presence of major brands, IP, or personalities. Video game brands are a plus.
  • Experience managing a community across multiple brands
  • A nuanced understanding of the social media landscape and of audience behaviors
  • Keen curatorial eye for interesting, stand-out content online
  • Hands-on experience in growing and maintaining an online community
  • Experience in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on social data
  • Experience with international and emerging social platforms (TikTok, Weibo, WeChat, etc) a big plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • A keen analytical eye and experience building integrated models from scratch
  • A "roll up your sleeves" mindset to get any job done
