Zest AI is seeking a Communications Manager to coordinate and execute our internal and external communications strategy and to build on Zest’s success as a leader in AI-machine learning for credit underwriting. Our Communications Manager will be equally skilled in public/media relations, customer advocacy, analyst relations, and executive communications. We're looking for a creative thinker who can quickly distill a sophisticated story to a wide-net audience within the financial technology industry.

This person will have the opportunity to re-shape and elevate our corporate communications activities and will work across the company to increase and amplify the voice to all stakeholders.

In this role you will:

• Build and execute a targeted communications strategy that will help build on Zest AI’s story and increase brand awareness and affinity
• Create PR messaging and material – including press releases, blog posts and keynote presentations to support announcements, campaigns, industry conferences and other speaking engagements as needed
• Run point on managing our PR agency partners and optimize on their resources and relationships
• Develop and maintain strong, productive ties with technology and trade press to communicate business objectives
• Engage with senior executives to promote industry-leading initiatives, and increase the overall positive industry awareness for the company through executive visibility programs, including speaking opportunities
• Assess our current internal communications, then recommend and implement tools and techniques to improve

We are looking for:

• At least a minimum of 3 years experience working full-time at a PR agency or startup focused on B2B enterprise software products
• Agency and in-house experience – particularly in tech startups strongly preferred
• Experience working directly with reporters, editors, industry analysts, and thought leaders in the fin-tech space
• Demonstrated ability to drive the execution of a communications strategy through project and stakeholder management
• Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative, especially in the down cycles between announcements
• Stellar writing and editing skills – news releases, fact sheets, talking points, executive briefers
• Bachelor’s degree in related fields – Communications/PR, Journalism/Writing in Finance, etc.
