The Marketing Project Coordinator will support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives for our leading personal finance website, GOBankingRates.com. This position will manage communication and deliverables for cross-functional projects across content marketing, social media, email marketing, and PR. This person will also play a lead role in organizing and communicating with our influencer network.

This is a full-time position based in our El Segundo, California office.

The day-to-day

• Manage marketing project workflow from end to end including: JIRA (project management software) ticket creation and task management
• Organize, manage, and maintain all communication with influencers, including: ongoing communication via email, Slack, or Facebook groups, assigning projects, creating contracts, and submitting invoices on time
• Support and maintain influencer content calendar including: Kapost (project management software) creation and task management, in-house video studio scheduling, and partnering with Content team
• Organize, manage, and execute regular events with influencers, including: monthly conference calls and annual networking events
• Support PR and outreach efforts by acting as a liaison between the Outreach and Content teams, including: developing a workflow between teams, scheduling and leading meetings, and prioritizing content creation requests based on company and team goals
• Project manage annual large-scale marketing campaigns for GOBankingRates.com, including: overseeing timeline, ticket creation and task management, scheduling and leading meetings, and working cross-functionally with the Content, Product Management, and Ad Ops teams
• Deliver status reports on project roadblocks or challenges with solutions to the Head of Marketing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Project Management
• 1-2 years of marketing or project management experience in a digital environment
• Well-versed in content marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, and influencer marketing
• Experience with Google docs and Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Extremely strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Utmost attention to detail and very organized
• Proactive and foresees problems that can affect deadlines and/or production
• Ability to interact with different personalities and stakeholders in order to get things done on time
• Effectively use email, run meetings, deliver status reports to communicate problems, ideas, solutions, etc.
• Ability to work independently, but take direction well
• Ability to manage and excel at having multiple deadlines
• Experience with JIRA and Slack a plus
