Sharp as a tack with a high attention to detail, you’re hungry to sharpen your skills in UX, putting your visual chops to work at a large, successful tech startup.
As a (paid) UX Design Intern at NuORDER, you’ll be collaborating with our product, design and development teams to help create solutions to the problems we address as a leader in enterprise ecommerce. You’ll learn how we ideate, validate and iterate ideas, design visual experiences while contributing to the product process overall.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes based on observed user behavior, habits, and needs
- Create and communicate end-to-end scenarios, interaction models, and screen designs
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to form and test creative, high-value solutions that can be shipped relatively quickly
- Collaborate with other designers to evangelize new interface guidelines and design patterns
- Help us refine our library of user interface components and patterns
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must currently be in the LA area or have immediate plans to move to LA area
- Must be available to work in our LA office 15-20 hours/week
- BA or BFA in Design preferred
- 1-2 years of intern or work experience would be a plus
- Great eye and passion for visual design
- A well rounded skill set and knowledge of user-centered design fundamentals
- Experience with UX and visual design deliverables
- Experience with current UI design tools like Sketch, Figma, Invision Studio (prototyping tools a plus)
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Portfolio of work you’re proud of
- Ecommerce experience a plus
