Responsibilities

FandangoNOW is looking for Back End Software Engineering Intern. As a intern, you’ll be working on our systems and services, you will work with a team of other software engineers to deliver projects and systems critical to FandangoNOW’s business.  We expect our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic about taking on new problems across our businesses as we continue to build great experiences for fellow movie fans. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve back end software and services
• Perform code reviews and collaborate with peers on software solutions
• Interact with Product Managers and Quality Engineers to deliver high quality, high profile software and user experiences
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, retros, sprint planning, etc.)

Qualifications/Requirements

● Pursuing BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience, preferably graduating Spring/Summer 2021

● A strong understanding of software design patterns and principles

● Experience in one or more of the following programming languages (JavaScript/Node, Python, C#/.NET, Java)

● Experience with data stores; SQL/RDBMS, NoSQL, BaaS, etc.

● Familiar with Git or other source code control systems

● Familiarity with test driven and behavioral driven development practices

● Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure or similar) technologies

● Familiar with software build, release, deployment and monitoring tools and practices

● Familiar with RESTful APIs, microservices, and/or service-oriented architectures

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree in progress

• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits) (rising sophomore, junior, or senior)

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a visa or sponsorship

• Must be able to work on-site in Beverly Hills, CA

• Must be available during our program: June 1 – August 10, Monday – Friday, about 9am-6pm, approximately 40 hours/week, for 10 weeks

• Internship positions are paid and do not require school credit

• Recent graduates will not be eligible
