Job Description

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Intern with strong analytical skills and expertise in food and agriculture supply chains to help tell compelling stories about Apeel’s growing product pipeline to global audiences.

Under guidance from the Marketing and Product Teams, you will use existing performance data to build a comprehensive library of value creation claims for all live and pipeline products. The library will help ensure consistent product messaging, uncover new customer success stories and bring unique points of differentiation to Apeel’s strategic supply and retail partners.

What You’ll Do

• Use existing performance data to build a library of value creation claims across the Apeel product portfolio. Types of value creation claims may include shelf life extension, shrink reduction, color retention, flavor, etc.
• Identify potential third-party certifications that support Apeel value creation claims.
• Work with the Product Team to identify opportunities to tell more comprehensive and targeted stories about value creation for commercial products. Use retail data and external stakeholder interviews to draft 2-3 case studies demonstrating new value to the customer.
• Develop a new trade-focused marketing campaign launching a pipeline product to the produce industry.
• Support current product marketing campaigns (as needed).
• Work with the Sustainability and Marketing teams to identify new opportunities to integrate sustainability claims into sales enablement and product marketing tools.

 What You Bring

• Technical understanding of food and/or agriculture systems and an interest in global supply chains.
• Strong analytical skills and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Fast learner, equally comfortable working with numbers and turning technical information into success stories.

You will be based in Santa Barbara, California and may be asked to travel locally to packinghouses and retailers in Southern California.
