We’re looking for an IT Software Engineering Intern to build software solutions that support the backbone operations of our business. As an IT Software Engineering Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire experience and skills in the development, administration, and integration of custom-built software tools and platforms using the latest technologies. 

This is a paid part-time position can be located at our headquarters in Carpinteria, CA or in our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for candidates to join us immediately. 

What you’ll do:

• Produce software enhancements to our internal tools using Ruby, React, and Heroku
• Conduct middleware software development for integrations between business systems including Workday, and NetSuite
• Development and administration of Salesforce.com including code and configuration changes
• Assist senior level staff with software engineering and operational tasks as needed

What we’re looking for:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related technical program
• Academic or professional experience writing software programs, preferably in Ruby, JavaScript, Java, and/or Python
• Experience with Ruby, JavaScript/React, and Heroku a strong plus
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and AWS a plus
• Critical thinker with strong analytical skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
• High degree of self-motivation
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication
