What we are looking for...
AvantStay's Interior Design internship will give you a unique look into the quickly growing short term rental market. Our growing team is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and detail oriented Design Intern. As we grow into new markets, the Design Intern will be responsible for assisting the design team in all aspects, from administrative tasks to helping designers during installations.. If you want to have a creative role in building the future of group travel and love your work doing it, this internship is for you! Recent graduated are a plus!
What you’ll do...
- Project management and administrative duties (Studio Designer experience is a plus).
- Draw/manage furniture layouts and floor plans using HomeStyler.
- Assist design team with ordering fixtures, furnishings, lighting & accessories.
- Track orders and process refunds.
- Manage budgets and schedules for each project.
- Assist designers during installations.
- Other responsibilities as they arise.
What you'll bring...
- Interior Design student preferred.
- You have experience working in a professional environment and have graduated or are currently enrolled in an awesome design program. You’re hungry to learn about our industry, comfortable with a fast pace environment and love startup life.
- A dedication to hospitality and to creating communal spaces is central to your work. You are passionate about travel and exceptional customer experiences. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with a small but growing team that requires a high degree of autonomy, flexibility and ability to think on your feet.
- Familiar with the interior design process, pay close attention to detail from design development, furnishings selection and installation. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting it done. Experience with hospitality, residential staging and/or design is a big plus.
- Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts.
- Tech-savvy, Studio Designer, Google Suite, Auto CAD a plus.
- Excitement about the real estate/hospitality industry.
- Exceptional presentation, analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
