About This Role

Apeel Sciences is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and research-oriented scientist to execute research projects within the portfolio of Apeel’s technologies. The individual will be responsible for developing new polymerization methods and polymers comprised of components from plant biomass.

What You’ll Do

• Isolate materials from plant biomass and functionalize them to provide a polymerizable handle.
• Develop new polymerization methods and polymers to provide the appropriate form and function of the materials.
• Research and educate team members on relevant technical topics

What You Bring

• Ideal candidates for this position will be currently pursuing a PhD degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science or related fields 
• Candidates should have completed a minimum of 3 years of graduate study
• Ideal candidates will have demonstrated organizational ability and high attention to detail.
• Candidates who have demonstrated effective written and/or verbal communication in various technical fields will be given preference.
