Job Description

Current sample preparation techniques for flavor and nutritional studies are laborious and time consuming. The Analytical Sciences team is looking to improve upon these techniques by moving toward automation and faster advanced extraction techniques. Initial efforts will focus on various forms of microextraction, which has the additional advantage of being a solvent free “green” extraction method. 

What You’ll Do

• Develop new extraction techniques for flavor and nutritional studies on fruit
• Test various types of microextractions including solid phase, stir bar sorption, and thin film
• Automate extractions using sample preparation stations
• Validate method for quantitation of multiple types of fruit

What You Bring

• A Chemistry background with an interest in Analytical Sciences
• Ability to learn and use various types of instrument software such as ChemStation and Maestro
• A positive, can-do attitude 
• Working in a collaborative environment across several functions within the company
