Accounting & Finance Internship

In this part time internship, you will have an opportunity to join our fast-paced, learning environment and be a part of the finance and accounting team in a disruptive hi-tech growth stage company. This opportunity will allow you to gain valuable hands-on accounting and finance experience and explore all aspects of accounting with focus on accounts payable operations.

In this position, you will be working directly within our finance and accounting team and will report to the Sr. Staff Accountant.

This position offers flexible hours during the week with either full or partial days (ideally 3 days per week, 20-24 hours a week) with the potential for a full time role.

What You Will Do:

· Support all aspects of accounts payable operations including but not limited to:

o Invoice entry (Oracle)

o Invoice reconciliation (PO and packing slip matching)

o Variance resolution

o Support with supplier communication

o Process employee reimbursements

o General accounts payable reconciliation

· Month end / Quarter End Close Support

o Support month end reconciliation process on a need basis

· Ad-hoc project support

o Oracle implementation, audit schedule, other as dictated by accounting and finance team

· General organization and filing

Qualifications:

· Students must be pursuing a major in accounting or finance

· Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a small team setting

· Proficiency with Microsoft Applications, (Excel (vlookup, pivot tables), Word, Outlook)

· Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Oracle Cloud Fusion is desired

· Detail oriented

· Punctual and self-motivated
