The Details
Mashable is seeking a video production intern to join our Mashable Studios division for the Winter/Spring 2018 term. Studios focuses on its own original video programing as well as series for our brand partners. The Studios intern will assist the video production team primarily in the editing phase with occasional hands-on production. This role is also responsible for assisting in the video publishing process.
The Day to Day

• Handle uploads through our CMS and YouTube optimization/publishing process
• Assist with production tracking as it relates to the post-production and publishing process
• Assistant editing including stringouts, punch-ups and finishing/exporting
• Re-editing and or/re-formatting finished episodes for cross-platform release
• Misc. grip work, production assistance and shooting in studio or on location
• Assist with file management, footage and assets organization

Must Haves

• Very familiar with Premiere and Photoshop (After Effects, Audition a plus) and Google Suite
• Ability to shape a story through editing a must
• Experience operating DSLRs + and eye for composition a plus
• Interest in pop culture, TV/film, comics, etc.
• Detail oriented and organized
• Team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic who understands how and when to be proactive
• Based in LA, available up to 5 days per week
