As the Engineering Director (Platform & Projects) you’ll work with several internal teams engaged across both core technology and discrete project development. In addition to deep technical expertise, the ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills and the ability to work non-technical statements of intent into actionable technical plans.

Responsibilities:

• First and foremost, help us to ship innovative VR and AR experiences across a wide range of target platforms
• Comfortable mixing hands-on technical work with technical leadership across a number of small, agile teams
• Drive pragmatic software design and implementation plans based on company vision, firm timelines, and staffing availability
• Implement and maintain software standards for the internal engineering teams and, where appropriate, external partners
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders to identify opportunities and risks, share best practices and implement effective processes
• Coach and mentor software engineers on the team
• Formulate staffing plans, recruit and retain world-class talent to the team

Requirements:

• CS, Engineering or an equivalent degree is preferred
• Five or more years working in games or similarly interactive experiences, ten years working in software development
• Experience leading engineering teams and a proven track record of having launched successful product on mobile, console or PC platforms
• Effective conflict management skills
• Expertise with C/C++/C#

Pluses:

• Professional Unity development experience
• iOS, Android development experience
• Knowledge of VR or AR development
