CAREER OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking a creative WordPress developer to join OnPoint's development team. The developer should be a passionate problem solver who applies their technical experience to create compelling and useful digital experiences for our publishing and E-commerce websites. The successful candidate will have strong experience leveraging modern development practices in the implementation of PHP solutions as well as HTML5, CSS3 (SASS) and JavaScript. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, proactive and team player professional with an engaged approach towards the company projects.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

· Maintain and developing the platform that powers our sites, fixing and troubleshooting front-end bugs, and improving performance/page load times

· Translate designs provided by the UI/UX team into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance.

· Work with Project Managers to define project timelines and deliverables

· Create clean, well-organized documented code

WHAT YOU HAVE:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Web Development or equivalent professional experience preferred

· 3 year as developer with relevant experience in front-end web development preferred

· Experience working with PHP and WordPress

· Strong knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Web/Mobile responsive design

· The developer has advanced knowledge of standards compliant HTML(5)

· Advanced knowledge of CSS(3) and CSS preprocessors such as LESS and Sass

· Experience with Version Control tools, e.g. GIT, Subversion or equivalent

· Proficient knowledge of responsive web-design and cross-browser compatibility issues

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment, to take ownership and to be committed to your work and deliverables

· The developer has strong written and verbal communication skills
