The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, Web Developer to join our SEO team. The ideal candidate should live and breathe code with a desire to stretch his/her abilities, work with a team, and eventually grow within the department and company.
You Will Be
- Identifying and developing solutions to improve Google Lighthouse performance scores
- Implementing solutions in both front-end and back-end environments for multiple e-commerce platforms
- Integrating into client development workflow and/or conducting consultation to execute initiatives
- Implementing server-side redirects and rewrites in Apache, IIS and NGINX
- Publishing SEO optimizations and tracking solutions via Google Tag Manager
- Updating various header tags, such as hreflang, rel alternates, OG tags, etc
- Administering mobile UX recommendations such as, configuring viewports, sizing tap targets, etc
- Deploying development projects ranging from fixing minor client bugs to building new site-wide solutions
- Developing interactive, engaging content in conjunction with our Content Marketing team
- Recreating website experiences in AMP HTML
You Must Have
- 3+ years of experience developing websites and/or continuous development contributions to a single platform or website
- Basic understanding of on-page SEO best practices
- Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript
- Stellar written and oral communication skills
- Mastery in at least one CMS/E-Commerce platform, i.e. WordPress, Shopify, Magento, Hubspot
- Proficient knowledge of Google Tag Manager and Data Layer pushes
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team
- Understanding of how websites are crawled and rendered by search engines
- Familiarity with subversioning and deployment pipeline
- Knowledge of optimizing for site speed from client and server-side
- Expert knowledge of responsive design techniques and HTML semantics and accessibility best practices
- Practical knowledge of web server configuration
- Proficiency in Regex syntax and patterns
Bonus
- Practical knowledge of SEO specific tools like Screaming Frog
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Kentico
- Experience with Google Apps Scripts
- Experience in A/B testing platforms, i.e. Optimizely, Visual Web Optimizer
- Familiarity with slicing designs for websites a plus
- Bachelor's degree in computer science
