Tinder is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to work on Chaos Engineering projects. Our goal is to build confidence and resilience in our systems through experimentation. We ensure that resiliency measures are working as expected and collaborate with service teams to remediate findings. We set the resiliency standards by which the entire engineering organization adheres to.

As a Senior Engineer in Cloud Infrastructure at Tinder, you will have an outsized impact and ownership of the most visible aspects of the Tinder.com progressive projects across the company. We are a small but growing team using modern technologies to build high quality, performant, and accessible products for our members. 

What You'll Do:

• Evaluate and implement standard methodologies for Chaos Engineering throughout Tinder's Engineering organization.
• Partner with other teams to ensure their services meet resiliency standards.
• Work with a collaborative team on building the platform that powers our experiments.
• Gain large scale production-level experience in the following technologies: Linux, Kubernetes, Envoy, and more.
• Build large-scale systems from the ground up that drive high value for the company.
• Tackle fun and sophisticated problems around microservice architectures and cloud infrastructure.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of demonstrated ability in software development
• Experience with writing Golang for use in a production environment
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure and systems engineering
• Experience with developing internal tools
• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience on prior Cloud Infrastructure and Chaos Engineering projects or teams
• Experience architecting, building, and operating distributed high scale systems
• Experience with application profiling or load testing
• Experience with Envoy
• Experience with cross-team, multi-functional projects
