As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Canoo you will work closely with our DRE’s and the purchasing directed supply base. You will be instrumental in establishing the supplier quality requirements and handle our supplier evaluation process, from the self-audit to facility audits. You will streamline the Quality communication with our suppliers, from complete reporting on: supplier quality performance, beginning with initial and follow up supplier evaluation. This includes the performance of on-site surveys, running quality rating and supplier corrective action status. You will need a solid understanding of root cause investigation and analytical data processing. Also, you will support the continuous improvement for all active areas with the supplier. You’ll need an understanding of the standard quality processes from: APQP, PPAP, Control plans and AIAG system.

  • Ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in an organization, attention to details and organized.
  • Must be a team player and a problem solver.
  • Interface with engineering and operations to ensure design and development is being designed for quality. 
  • Spearhead and supervise the development of product standards and test requirements.
  • Create and maintain company quality procedures, manuals and on..
  • Analyze data to predict failures and corrective/preventative action in response
