You Aspire To: 

Elevate the capabilities of Heliogen’s Supply Chain by leveraging internal and external expertise and raise the bar for modern component manufacturing. In this role you look to innovate to deploy effective solutions to complex problems. You will leverage your skillset to augment the process development aspect of a wide variety of supply chain partners. Using your communication and data analysis skills you will influence the decision making for processes upstream and downstream throughout production. You will be highly responsible for enabling the high-volume, high-quality, and low cost of Heliostats and other Heliogen products.

• Develop process improvement projects directly with Supply Chain partners in support of Heliogen’s high-volume, low-cost Heliostat development program
• Create and implement the best practices for process development and quality system implementation within the supply chain, leveraging Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
• Identify shortfalls in vendor capability and execute programs to deliver solutions to close the gaps
• Leverage internal and external automation and tooling design and fabrication expertise
• Develop and operate a chain of ownership to provide a rapid response process handover to our supply chain partners
• Perform root cause and risk analysis activities leveraging best practice tools
• Partner with manufacturing engineering teams to provide material in ideal formats for high-rate automated production
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed

What's Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing and production environments, preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or commercial electronics industries or similar
• Experience in supplier-interfacing roles, with skills to appropriately motivate suppliers to sustainably improve performance
• Demonstrable project management experience
• Demonstrated experience in completing cost reduction or quality improvement projects
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, including expertise in the use and implementation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ASME Y14.5
• Experience leveraging PFMEA and DFMEA activities to develop system designs and control plans
• Demonstrated ability to create and deploy new policies, processes, and procedures

Desirable Experience:

• Master’s degree in an engineering or supply chain management discipline
• Experience with automation or tooling project development
• Direct experience performing quality audits or managing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) within an ISO 9001, AS 9100 or ISO (TS) 16949, or equivalent quality management system
• High proficiency with 3D CAD - Solidworks, Catia, Creo, Siemens NX, or similar
• Certified in Lean Manufacturing
• Certified Six Sigma training
