We are looking for highly motivated staff software engineer who can lead a team and drive large, strategic, and complex projects. This role will be focused on audit/risk analytics and continuous monitoring, a highly technical domain that crosses process automation, 1st/3rd party integrations, and data engineering (expanding into AI/ML). This position demands a high level of leadership, creativity, and drive. In this role, you will face a huge array of challenges - from building scalable systems to designing new product features. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves to collaborate with others but can also work independently to take an idea from concept to implementation. Responsibilities 

• Prototype nascent data/analytics product functionality 
• Develop data pipelines and integrate data sources
• Leverage knowledge of data to collaboratively identify product opportunities
• Lead application architecture decisions 
• Mentor a team of engineers 
• Implement back-end APIs in Node.JS 
• Work with JavaScript, Node.JS, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, etc. 
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers 
• Participate in an Agile software development life cycle 
• Write well-designed, maintainable & testable code 
• Contribute to open-source projects 

Qualifications 

• 8+ years of experience developing web services and applications 
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: data pipelines, analytics, machine learning, process automation, and/or integrations 
• Experience conducting complex data analysis
• Experience writing REST / JSON APIs 
• Experience writing software tests 
• Ability to solve technical problems independently and collaboratively 
• Driven to create customer value and always be learning 

Preferred 

• Interest and/or experience in AI/ML 
• Experience working on SaaS web applications 
• Bonus: Experience with integration/data platforms such as Tray.io, Workato, Fivetran, Singer
• Experience with Node.JS and modern ES6 or TypeScript 
• Bonus: Experience with a modern front-end framework (Ember, Angular, React, Vue, etc.) ● Bonus: Experience with Kafka, Tensorflow, Kubernetes, DBT or other data/infrastructure technologies 
• Bonus: Data engineering certification (e.g IBM Certified Data Engineer) is a plus
• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
