The current auto manufacturing system is economically and environmentally broken. Divergent invented a manufacturing system that combines software, additive manufacturing, and assembly technologies to radically reduce the material, energy, time and capital required to design and build vehicles. This will transform the automotive industry from capital intensive to innovation intensive while dramatically reducing the lifecycle environmental impact of vehicles. Your Role: Sr. Software Engineer, Integration and Algorithm Development 

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement integration solutions between various CAE systems, utilizing the object-oriented programming with C++, JavaScript, and Python.

• Design and implement solutions in the finite element post-processing 

What You Have:

• MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering or related field, with emphasis in development and application of CAE software

• 3+ years of track record of shipping robust and maintainable commercial software through a full cycle development process.

• Experience orchestrating integration use cases involving multiple CAE software using application programming interfaces (API)

• Strong coding skills across multiple platforms using various languages such as JavaScript, Python, C++, or Tcl

• Experience with applying and developing image processing algorithms, height mapping, roughness mapping, and 3D gradient operators (e.g. Sobel, Zucker-Hummel)

• Proven ability to both understand and develop new algorithms

• Strong engineering and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills and Agile team work are essential.
