About the Job

The true[X] Backend Platform team is responsible for building and supporting the large scale, distributed infrastructure for ad serving, creative serving, event and analytics tracking as well as real-time optimization of campaigns. As true[X] continues to grow, so do the scale and performance requirements of our system, as well as the need to balance this with ease of extensibility, experimentation capabilities and rapid deployment. Our work is at the foundation of the true[X] attention marketplace.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop the state of the art, scalable technology at the heart of true[X]’s advertising marketplace
• Be an active and engaged owner of the product and customer experience, collaborating effectively with Product Management, Data Engineering, Data Science, and other disciplines
• Maintain high standards of code quality, including tests and documentation, and encourage the same by providing constructive code reviews to collaborators
• Work closely with other engineers to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility of new features
• Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, exciting environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, problems, and errors encountered across our various endpoints

What you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the software development field
• 5+ years of complete software lifecycle experience
• Proven experience with Ruby, Scala, Rust, Golang or NodeJS and/or other modern languages
• Prior experience delivering highly resilient, distributed services on cloud infrastructures
• Experience working with AWS services like EC2, Kinesis, DynamoDB, S3, etc.
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Great team player with can do attitude and sterling sense of ownership
