The International Growth team at Tinder is responsible for growing our business in international markets by implementing features that are highly relevant to those markets. As a Backend Engineer on the International Growth team, you will:

• Develop exciting new Tinder features with a focus on different markets across the world
• Grow our international user base by providing features that are relevant to them
• Help us scale to meet the ever-growing Tinder user base and global audience
• Work closely with client platform engineers to deploy exciting new Tinder features
• Build tools and infrastructure to ensure 100% uptime of Tinder for all users across the world

We're looking for:

• 3+ years of Node.js / Javascript expertise
• 3+ years of experience with large-scale distributed systems
• 3+ years of API design experience
• Experience with writing comprehensive unit and regression tests
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
• NoSQL Databases such as DynamoDB or Redis
• A passion for creating great products and solving challenging problems at scale

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working in Growth teams
• Experience using Java/Scala
• Experience with Spark or other big data tools
• Experience with AWS
• Search and recommendation experience
• A BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering from a top school, but a wonderful project list trumps all
• Leadership Experience
