About the Senior Software Development Engineer in Test Role:

We're looking for a highly technical, Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to serve a critical role within the engineering organization at Spring Labs. The ideal candidate will be someone who is detail oriented and has the capacity to quickly grasp the inner workings of the software that they are testing. We are looking for engineers who have the curiosity to know how code works at its core. 

What you'll do

• Drive a quality mindset into the fabric of our development team, processes and tools
• Build automated testing capabilities across services, platform and products from the ground up
• Integrate Testing best practices into our environment and engineering teams
• Drive construction of appropriate datasets used to test our systems
• Mentor Engineers on how to develop better unit testing techniques
• Document all aspects of the team's testing software, and report on the results
• Benchmark our performance
• Design and perform destructive tests

About you

• 8+ years of software engineering (SDET or development) experience
• 5+ years of test automation experience
• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
• Solid CS fundamentals
• Working knowledge of Python programming language
• Experience in identifying bottlenecks for scalability and performance
• Experience with FULL development of automation tools and frameworks for performance testing, measurement and analysis
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate work to the broader engineering team
