About the Software Engineer, Web (Growth) at Headspace:

Headspace is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join its Growth Team and be responsible for executing on initiatives designed to move the needle on key business goals via experimentation and measurement. As part of the Growth Team, you’ll be focused on connecting more people with our product and service in order to to advance our mission of improving the Health & Happiness of the world. The Growth Team at Headspace is ultimately responsible for the following areas: user acquisition, product engagement, and subscriber conversion and retention. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

What you’ve accomplished:

• 4+ years of experience
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals
• Proven working experience in software development
• Commanding grasp of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
• Proficiency in JavaScript
• Experience working with single page web applications in production environments
• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
• Experience debugging Javascript or CSS
• Proficiency in CSS and flex-box layouts
