Leveraging large community-supported open solutions, you will be designing, implementing and validating strategies for cloud-based infrastructure and services to support Tinder engineering teams to scale their applications that serve millions of users worldwide. This will entail ensuring high availability on both production and pre-production systems, while pushing teams towards true continuous delivery pipelines. We have openings for this position in both our Los Angeles and Silicon Valley offices :)

In this role, you will:

• Build and scale the infrastructure with Kubernetes and docker to serve hundreds of millions of users around the world
• Collaborate with various functional teams on design and expansion of our infrastructure
• Have an essential role in developing and maintaining the CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide SaaS (storage as a service) and MaaS (messaging as a service) for engineering teams
• Create dashboards and other tools for engineers to use in day-to-day monitoring and troubleshooting - anything that empowers us to ensure that users can continue to connect is welcome
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and monitoring of the systems to ensure SLAs are met

We’re looking for:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ years of professional infrastructure experience post education
• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and software engineering best practices
• Experience with AWS Technologies, including EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, Cloudformation
• Experience with maintaining the stability and performance of the cloud platform
• Strong scripting skills, i.e. Ruby, Python, Bash, Perl, etc.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with Docker containers along with Kubernetes
• Experience with deployment and maintenance of Redis, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Cassandra and other NoSQL solutions
• Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of continuous delivery tools
• Experience evaluating and using open source solutions that fit business needs
