You Aspire To:
Work on a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers to develop high-performance and general-purpose GPU tools for simulating and optimizing the cutting edge of concentrated solar power.
- Improve Numerical Modeling – Build parallelized models using both first-principles and approximation techniques to enable rapid & accurate performance estimation of concentrating solar thermal facilities.
- Build our Computing Environment – Recommend high-performance computer architectures for both CPU and GPU computing.
What's Essential:
- Software development skills including C#/C++, CUDA, MPI, unit testing/TDD, and distributed version control (Git);
- Performance optimization including native, parallel algorithm implementation & GPGPU programming; and
- 3+ years professional experience.
What's Desirable:
- Knowledge of solar thermal technologies
- Thermal analysis professional experience including flow, heat transfer, energy conversion
- Machine-learning skills including CNNs and Gaussian processes
- Experience interviewing potential teammates and building engineering teams
