Summary:

As a Software Engineer on the Catalog Integrations team, you will be responsible for building the systems and processes to optimize and maintain the inventory and financial systems of NordstromRack.com & HauteLook. This team is responsible for efficiently and reliably handling millions of transactions and supporting a variety of business processes including purchase orders, receipts, Accounts Payable, and inventory control.

We develop highly-performant, event-driven, containerized applications using ASP.NET Core, RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQL Server, and Couchbase. This role has an opportunity to make a big impact on the future state of the platform and can really help form the strategic technical vision.

A day in the life… 

• Developing RESTful APIs, message publishers and subscribers for various internal systems, including Purchase Orders, Receipts, and Inventory Movement.
• Writing unit, integration, behavioral and performance tests.
• Supporting our internal customers and technology support teams by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Partnering with QA and Product to build systems that are pragmatically tested, maintainable and secure.
• Embracing changing specifications to solve business problems.
• Finding new ways to solve technical and business problems.
• Working collaboratively with other team members to teach and learn from them.

You own this if you have…

• 1+ years software development experience with ASP.NET Core and C#.
• 1+ years of experience with SQL.
• 1+ years of API development experience.
• Experience with the following is preferred, but not required:
  • JavaScript Frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Node)
  • Message queueing technologies (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka)
  • Object-oriented design, design patterns, and/or domain-driven design

A bachelor’s degree in CS or related field is also preferred but not required
