Fuel Cycle is currently seeking a Software Developer to join their rapidly growing engineering team. As a Software Developer you will be reporting to our Director of Engineering and working alongside a team of full stack developers.

In this role you will predominantly be focusing on delivering quality backend code, while using your full-stack skills to support our Frontend developers. There will also be a good amount of experimentation with new and exciting technologies, that will continue to push the boundaries of Market Research and solidify Fuel Cycle’s position as the most flexible and innovative company in the industry.

This role is ideal for someone that enjoys working with a small team in a highly collaborative full-stack environment. Responsibilities

• Write quality backend code primarily in Java, Spring and Hibernate
• Assist the frontend engineers with JSP/JSTL, Javascript and AJAX
• Partner with various departments for specifications, use cases, iterations, testing, training and client feedback implementation
• Research, compare, experiment with and integrate new services and frameworks
• Share your experience with your colleagues, review code, help improve others

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a Java Developer
• Strong proficiency with Java, J2EE, Spring and Hibernate
• Strong proficiency with API integrations
• Experience with MYSQL, jQuery, HTML, CSS, JSP
• Experience with relational database and data structure design
• Experience with AWS
• Strong intellectual capacity coupled with constant curiosity
• Proven experience working in complex technology environments
• Strong debugging skills
• Team player with demonstrated communication skills
