Software Developer
We’re looking for a junior- to mid-level .NET developer interested in an opportunity to stretch themselves and have their abilities appreciated and their potential recognized. You’ll be an integral part of a small team at the early stages of developing a state-of-the-art platform for financial transaction processing (the next generation of a successful existing product). We work out of a beautiful office building in the heart of Silicon Beach in the Los Angeles area and offer full benefits and flex hours.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing new software applications and components from (often loose) requirements.
- Maintaining and improving the quality and performance of existing and new software.
- Clearly and regularly communicating with management development, and technical support colleagues.
- Helping to test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 3+ years’ experience designing and building software applications OR 5+ years’ experience designing and building software applications.
- At least 3 years’ experience in C#/.NET, WinForms, and/or WPF. Should be able to create, document, troubleshoot and maintain applications and services on Windows with C# using Visual Studio (we use C# 7.x, .NET 4.5.2/4.7.x/Core, and VS 2017 w/Resharper).
- Web Development skills utilizing ASP.NET MVC, SQL, JavaScript, HTML 5, and CSS 3.
- Familiarity and experience with SCCS and best practices, preferably with Git.
- Strong verbal, written, communication, and time management skills.
- Be self-driven and able to deliver high quality results in a timely fashion.
- Have a creative approach to problem-solving and be resourceful and tenacious enough to find a solution when nothing seems to work.
- Passion and pride for building a great user experience.
Beneficial qualifications and skills (pluses):
- Experience with TDD/BDD and unit testing.
- Familiarity with Telerik’s DevCraft UI suite.
- Familiarity with and experience accessing RESTful web-based interfaces using C#.
- Experience with SQLite.
- Experience with creating Windows-based installers (we use Advanced Installer).
- Experience with accounting systems.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
