Candidates should have demonstrated ability to work independently and on remote teams. Experience with Boeing Commercial Aircraft certification processes and requirements is highly desirable. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required. Off shift and weekend work may also be occasionally required to meet contractual milestones, objectives and delivery schedules.Position responsibilities:

• Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
• Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
• Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
• Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
• Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
• Resolves cross-functional technical issues

This position may allows some telecommuting, however, the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• 3+ years of experience with avionics and aircraft systems
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering (i.e. system or software requirements, development, and/or test)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Modeling & simulation of system systems, including architecture and test infrastructures
• Experience with system engineering tools (i.e MATLAB, Simulink, and/or DOORS)
• Experience developing software tools with Python or C++
• Disciplined and detail-oriented
• Experience following systems certification processes and save evidence required for system certification

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
