About The Role:

We are passionate about security and privacy and are driven to protect our internal and external community from data threats. As the Senior Staff Security Engineer reporting directly to Tinder’s VP of Security, you will be a key leader in protecting the integrity of our security environment. 

We are looking for a dedicated and collaborative Principal Engineer who will ensure the highest standards of security for our organization and global community, as well as provide mentorship across our internal security teams.

What You'll Do:

• Provide security architectural mentorship for securing our AWS environments, Kubernetes clusters, and corporate security environments
• Perform security design reviews for infrastructure-related projects
• Architect and deploy security special projects designed to address future and current security challenges
• Document and communicate security configuration and hardening guidelines for infrastructure components
• Craft automated security auditing and monitoring software and infrastructure related to the above
• Administer security-related infrastructure and applicationsBuild automation to support infrastructure needs for other parts of the security team

What You'll Need:

• AWS administration/architectural experience from a security lense
• Recent and meaningful work with Kubernetes and DockerStrong understanding of security infrastructure and their implementation in a global environment
• Experience performing security investigations
• Strong understanding of network security technologies, architectures, and challenges 
• Experience analyzing logs and supporting SIEM infrastructures is a plus

Nice to Have:

• Deep understanding and recent experience with Linux system administration and hardening experience
• Proficient in scripting languages, such as Python, Bash or Golang
• Knowledge of cryptography including x.509 certificates, encryption algorithms, and their practical applications
• Experience performing threat modeling for systems and infrastructure to identify potential security issues
• Experience supporting security investigations and analyzing log data
