In this role you will:

• Lead and Mentor
• Mentor Engineering teams on services development best practices
• Evangelize platform technologies and tools built by the services team
• Lead tactical tech strategies
• Plan future architecture of core services technologies
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives
• Collaborate
• Partner with client applications teams to define API contracts 
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
• Develop & Operate
• Develop, deploy and operate services software and scripts in a cloud environment
• Improve reliability, security, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Innovate
• Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
• Contribute ideas and code to core frameworks that drive our technology and product roadmap 
• Research new technologies that could be used to improve our products 

Skills and abilities we are looking for:

• Required
• Advanced experience in Javascript and/or Typescript
• Experience with Azure architectural design patterns, tools and services
• 5+ years with Git, Perforce, or other version control software 
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
• Able to work in a collaborative, global, agile/lean development environment
• Excellent time-management, organization, and communication skills.
• Preferred
• 1-2 years of Docker and/or Kubernetes and Azure 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline
• Experience in Java, Python, node.js, C# or GoLang
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP 
• OWASP training
• Experience developing public APIs using REST, GraphQL or gRPC
• Experience building CMS systems
• Experience building asset pipelines
