The Platform team provides the foundation that empowers Fair’s engineers to build incredible things. We’re looking for dynamic software engineers who are passionate about and interested in infrastructure, network, systems, and security engineering.

As a Senior Software Engineer - Platform reporting to the Director, Platform Engineering, you will develop the core services and tooling that provides the foundation for all other Engineering teams to build on. You will identify inefficiencies in Fair’s platform and engineering workflow and be empowered to solve those problems. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the designing, building, and maintenance of the core infrastructure and tooling used by Fair’s engineering teams
• Build great experiences for your customers (the engineers using your tooling and infrastructure)
• Develop and evangelize conventions on production readiness and operational excellence
• Debug production issues across Fair’s services
• Plan the roadmap for the growth of Fair’s infrastructure

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience  
• Experience building production software with Go, Ruby, or Python
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with distributed tracing, monitoring, and microservices
• Familiarity with security concepts and best practices
