Responsibilities:

• Build and manage backend database & web services development to support a high scale, real time gaming environment with frequent financial transactions and real cash payments to winning players

• Security measures and protocols to ensure system and financial integrity.

• Integration of third-party services and systems including ad servers/ad tech, analytics platforms, payment services, event logging services, and more.

• Create data models and structures to support large scale application data storage for a combination of sensitive and non-sensitive information.

• Work with product team to understand necessary metrics and monitoring systems to ensure health and integrity of the overall service.

Requirements:

• You are based in Los Angeles or are willing to relocate.

• 5+ Years of software engineering experience with focus on backend applications.

• Fluency with Node.js, specifically in the Express framework.

• Experience building robust and performant API services which will be connected to frontend code.

• Understand common security vulnerabilities and how to protect against them server side.

• Experience with MongoDB or other similar NoSQL database systems and overall database design expertise.

• Ability to write tests for functionality as well as performance.

• Designing a backend services layer to be easily horizontally scalaable.

Bonus Points:

• Degree in Computer Science

• Launched at least one previous application in gaming or financial systems.

• Experience with AWS services or Heroku.

• Experience working with Webpack and optimizing bundle processes.

• Experience integrating with common monetization APIs such as Google Ad Manager and Paypal.
