Chrome River’s Test Automation team is seeking a self-driven Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, who will play a central role in releasing quality production builds. Our mission is to help to deliver high performance, high efficiency and robustness to our mobile platform at Chrome River. The ideal candidate would be a software engineer with a passion for quality assurance who is experienced in API and component test automation. You have interest and passion to use development skills and expertise to build holistic test automation approach, tools, and scripts. Also, you will have experience architecting test frameworks, scripts, and overall software solution to the problems.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate closely with application developers to improve release velocity and production health
• Work closely with development and QA teams in instrumenting the workflow to build a comprehensive picture of velocity, coverage and quality
• Automate repeated tasks and build test coverage through existing or new infrastructure
• Write moderately complex code/scripts to test systems, implementing test harnesses and infrastructure as necessary
• Write and implement integration, component and web UI tests
• Brings clarity to testing scope while changes are still in the planning and design phase of change
• Automating in a way that effectively continues to improve the "shift left" approach of CI

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of work experience, including development and/or test automation experience
• Experience working in a CI/CD pipeline
• Mid to advanced SQL skills
• Experience building and testing RESTful APIs
• Experience coding in Java required; Python is a plus
• Demonstrated knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging
• Demonstrated knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
• Advanced skills in troubleshooting system issues

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science
• Experience working within Jira to produce reports and metrics that define productivity and identifies gaps
• Hands-on experience building solutions using Java, Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns and concepts
• Experience with performance, load, and stress testing using frameworks based on tools like JMeter or others with similar concepts
• Experience in MongoDB and MySql
