Hello! AppOnboard is looking for a Senior Android Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Engineering team. The perfect candidate is a team player who's hungry to learn and grow their skill sets as well as pick up new ones on the fly. Must have at least 5 to 8 years of experience in an Android SDET role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, responsiveness, and stability of our playable ad SDK for Android devices
• Collaborate with SDK engineers and SDETs to design tests and test plans for new and existing features
• Build, improve, and maintain tools and automation frameworks to implement tests
• Test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Create clear, concise trouble tickets with descriptions and details of issues encountered
• Work with and integrate with outside data sources, APIs, and our internal backend systems on AWS
• Coach and mentor SDETs and QA testers in the execution of testing efforts
• Continuously research, evaluate, test, and implement new technologies to optimize efficiencies

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in an Android SDET role
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Broad experience with various types of tests including unit, system, integration, user acceptance, regression, usability and end-to-end testing
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, different versions of Android OS, device fragmentation, firmware differences, and different open source test tools and frameworks
• Good coding skills
• General experience working with remote data via REST/JSON and AWS
• Proficient in Jira and Git
• Strong attention to detail, great problem-solving skills, good communication skills
