Appetize is seeking a Senior Release Engineer in the Quality Assurance organization and you will act as the central point of control and contact for software release efforts and responsible for coordination, timeline and quality gating of delivery to production. As a Senior Release Engineer, you will be responsible for the release management activities for all Appetize software projects. These activities include establishing a stable and efficient build process, developing and refining the continuous integration and delivery process through different stages and environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Controls the release of product software changes throughout its lifecycle.
• Server/environment automation utilizing Infrastructure As Code (IaaS) tools and principles.
• Develop and implement automated solutions that enhance our ability to deploy
• Remain at the forefront of technology, best practices, and our tools, become and remain a technology leader.
• Manage server environments, automate builds/deployments, and other Release Engineering tasks.
• Provide training to team members and/or other departments

Requirements

• 5+ years of Release Engineering, DevOps, Site-Reliability, or development experience
• 3+ years of Cloud Infrastructure experience AWS (preferred), Azure, etc
• Ability to setup and administer source control
• Ability to setup and administer CI/CD tools (BitBucket, Jenkins )
• Must understand and be able to articulate multiple CI/CD methodologies and promotion strategies, paradigms, and understand tradeoffs
• Knowledge of common Release Engineering and/or DevOps industry standards and best practices
• Demonstrated leadership qualities – ownership, accountability, maturity, self-motivated.
