Position Description

We are looking for an experienced Linux system administrator with an emphasis in security to join the Engineering team at Feedonomics, headquartered in Los Angeles. You'll be working both independently and in conjunction with our DevOps, Product Engineering, and Infosec teams to bolster the security and sysadmin best practices of our large network and fleet of bare-metal and virtualized Linux servers. You will be taking over management of our network architecture and host-based security of the machines that compose our production, qa, and development environments for our best-in-class Software-as-a-Service applications.

Compensation - $95K - $125K Depending on Interview Performance

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take over duties as primary system administrator for our fleet of hosted bare-metal and cloud-based Linux Servers.
• Administer internal linux-based software tools and self-hosted services that support the entire Engineering department.
• Design and implement automated patch management and configuration management.
• Manage access control, firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, security logging, and vulnerability scanning.
• Coordinate with DevOps and Product Engineers to facilitate automation and self-service deployment of infrastructure.
• Maintain technical documentation of our network infrastructure.
• Support completion of security audits and questionnaires from clients and third parties.

Requirements

• BS or higher degree in Information Technology or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years Linux sysadmin experience at midsize or large organizations.
• 4+ years experience in Information Security.
• 3+ years Networking experience.
• Experience with SSO/SAML, AD/LDAP, or other Identify Management Solutions within Linux networks.
• Information Security and Linux Certifications preferred (e.g. RHCSA, SSCP)
• Emphasis on automation of sysadmin tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Bonus Points

• Experience with AWS administration
• Familiarity with Ansible
• Familiarity with Docker
