As an iOS engineer on Identity, you will be joining a team of cross-functional engineers who are excited to take on multifaceted challenges. The Tinder Identity team mainly focuses on authentication and account management (including external accounts), specifically:

• Architect the upstream app funnel including authentication, registration, onboarding
• Build features around user core services on top of Tinder user data, external vendor data, and media contents
• Build services for privacy/legal compliance
• Strategically support new user acquisition via globalization/localization

As an iOS Engineer on the Tinder Identity team, you will have the opportunity to:

• Build consumer facing features that reach millions of users globally
• Evolve Tinder’s architecture to support multiple authentication flows and account management
• Influence the roadmap and product development of Tinder App and services while deeply coordinating with the product team
• Work closely with Backend Engineers to deploy exciting new Tinder Identity features
• Collaborate with Trust & Safety team to protect our users and Tinder itself
• Mentor, collaborate, and learn from experienced and passionate team members

We're looking for:

• 5+ years of professional iOS experience.
• Experience building large-scale, modular iOS apps
• Deep knowledge of Swift
• Unit-testing and dependency injection experience
• A strong software architect who’s well-versed in common iOS design patterns
• Demonstrate ability to identify common problem solving patterns that can be applied across feature areas and technology stacks and can make incremental improvements on engineering processes
• Set an example of engineering excellence across teams through documentation
• Able to mentor various levels of developers, impart your knowledge so they can become an engineer of the same quality as yourself
• Comfortable working with legacy code and improving it
• Communicate effectively across different audiences that includes their peers, their manager, other tech teams and business units while proactively identifying misunderstandings and resolving them

• Understanding of how backend services work at scale
• Previous user authentication funnel experience
• Owner of popular open source projects
• Experience with building SDKs
