But all of this is meaningless without great people, so we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help us provide technical leadership to a growing team focused on infrastructure improvements and new technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help build tools to make our development teams more efficient as we tackle a variety of new engineering challenges.
How will you contribute to PatientPop?
This role will impact our organization by helping development teams scale their infrastructure in AWS. You will collaboratively work with software developers to automate and streamline our operations and processes. You will be a resource for the engineering team and help monitor the tools used by developers and work on building out/maintaining tools for development and deployment to automate operations and processes, including but not limited to CI, containerization, and configuration management when needed.
You will troubleshoot and resolve system issues in our dev, test and production environments, as well as improve Infrastructure built out in AWS for high availability, redundancy and security. You must be comfortable with taking on new engineering challenges, defining potential solutions, and implementing designs in a team environment.
Who will be successful in this role?
Our ideal person will have 3+ years in a DevOps oriented role and/or experience in designing, deploying and administering complex Amazon AWS cloud applications. The role requires a high proficiency in Python, MySQL and PostgreSQL. Experience with Jenkins is also required as well as having done infrastructure within code, either using CloudFormation or Terraform. If you have experience working with a configuration management software, such as SaltStack, that would be a plus!
