Individuals with approved accommodations will be subject to frequent COVID-19 testing.\n-\nThe Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Certification Process Engineer to join either location REMOTELY in Seal Beach CA, Huntington Beach CA, Huntsville AL, Mesa AZ, Oklahoma City OK, or Saint Louis MO.\n\nThe Senior Certification Process Engineer will be responsible for the development, execution, and leadership of a unified certification strategy and critical actions to integrate certification within the organization and across Product Capability Teams. In this role you will work closely with all facets of the program and certification representatives for both commercial and military aviation to implement, review and refine strategies, plans and define processes and certification artifacts in conjunction with other team members to support product certification. This role is a unique opportunity to introduce and unify certification, design, development, test, and sustainment, to advance Boeing's capabilities, skills, and people in a DevSecOps environment.\n\nThis position requires strong technical leadership experience covering a number of certification engineering disciplines and experience engaging with Program, Division and Enterprise leadership. You will be expected to leverage One Boeing in the development, execution, and refinement of the certification strategies in areas such as Systems, Hardware, Software and Modeling & Simulation.\n\nThis position allows telecommuting and does require applicants to live in either Seal Beach CA, Huntington Beach CA, Huntsville AL, Mesa AZ, Oklahoma City OK, or Saint Louis MO full-time.\n\nPosition Responsibilities:\n\nLeads activities to develop, document and maintain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.\n\nLeads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.\n\nDevelops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.\n\nProvides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.\n\nLeads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.\n\nLeads software research and development projects.\n\nServes as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.\n\nTracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.\n\nTrains and mentors others.\n\nWorks under consultative direction.\n\n\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): \n\nBachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry\n\n5+ years of experience with government certifications processes \n\n5+ years of experience in software engineering with defining and implementing process\n\nExperience with DO-178 standards and compliance\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): \n\nActive Security Clearance\n\nExperience and understanding of configuration status accounting processes\n\nUnderstand complex architectural and networking concepts to enhance business process and service delivery\n\nDemonstrate strong problem resolution and process management skills and stakeholder management.\n\n\nTypical Education/Experience:\nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.\n\nRelocation:\nRelocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
