We’re looking for a Security Engineering Manager with a proven track record to assist in leading our efforts to secure our applications and infrastructure. Our ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple teams focused on various security disciplines including Application Security, Infrastructure Security, Monitoring and Incident Response, and Governance, Risk and Compliance. In this position, you will report to the Director of Security Engineering, build and secure our platform, and help Tinder users make better matches, engage more effectively, and generally make the world a better place!

This role will be located in our West Hollywood headquarters!

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a mentor for security managers in various disciplines
• Ensure managers and their teams meet roadmap objectives, organize and prioritize backlogs, and effectively manage interrupt-driven workloads
• Manage, prioritize and assign incoming workloads to lessen interrupts for the teams
• Plan, oversee and participate in projects related to all security disciplines, including, but not limited to:
• Architecture design reviews and infrastructure hardening efforts
• Application security assessments and SDLC process improvements
• SOX and PCI compliance, security training and awareness, and risk management
• Security monitoring and incident response efforts
• Work with managers and the Director of Security Engineering to identify and implement new tools and technologies in order to improve the company’s security posture
• Directly manage training, education, career development and performance for all team members
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new team members
• Serve as first-level escalation point for teams and on-call rotations
• Collaborate with the Director of Security Engineering on policy, strategy and outreach

What we’re looking for:

• 3-5 years experience managing a security team
• A strong bias towards automation and innovative thinking
• The ability to guide team members and subordinate managers to reach their full potential
• The ability to recruit and develop team members at all levels
• The ability to build cross-functional partnerships with teams outside of security to accomplish security objectives, improve awareness and gain buy-in
• A proactive and highly motivated individual, with a passion for streamlining processes and operating in a highly organized environment
• Experience securing modern, large-scale web environments
• Strong understanding of, and experience with, the full-range of security disciplines. This includes risk management (ISO27001 preferred), SOX and PCI compliance, access control, systems hardening, threat modeling, encryption, vulnerability management, digital forensics and incident response
• Experience with, and strong knowledge of, modern systems engineering tools, architecture, technologies and best practices

Bonus Points:

• Extensive experience with, and knowledge of, Linux, AWS, Docker and ELK are strongly preferred
• Experience with tools/technologies such as Carbon Black, IDS/IPS, OSSEC, CASB, MDM, SSO and access control management solutions
• Experience with securing Kubernetes and/or administering AquaSec
