The role
As a Security Engineer, you will be an integral member of Metropolis' IT Security team, which is responsible for securing the enterprise’s infrastructure and services. This position is broad and will provide the candidate exposure to many facets of Information Security and Compliance. The position requires hands-on experience in security engineering, administration of security technologies, asset security, communications and network security, identity and access management, security assessments and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Implement Metropolis' IT Security Policy and Procedures and track compliance.
Create and update security procedures and documentation when required.
Independently evaluate security controls used to protect Metropolis' resources and systems and suggest enhancements.
Assist in security risk management initiatives, internal security assessments, vendor security risk assessments and external security audits.
Deploy, administer and operate security solutions such as vulnerability scanning tools, DLP systems, CASB, SIEM, email security solutions.
Analyze security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis.
Implement and administer endpoint security solutions.
Identify Security Issues or threats and provide appropriate resolution or make recommendations on how to resolve or identify compensating controls related to security findings.
Work as point of contact in security incident escalation.
Function as a key member of the IT Security team working with a wide variety of other technical groups including Product and engineering teams
Responsible for architecting, management, support and maintenance of Identity and access management systems
Automate security administration tasks when and where possible.
Adhere to industry best practices for information security.
Requirements and Qualifications
5+ years of full-time experience in Information Technology implementation, maintenance and support.
3+ years of full-time hands-on experience in an IT Security position.
Comprehensive knowledge of hardware systems, system software, networks and application software development lifecycle methodologies.
Ability to research and ascertain best-practices concepts relative to all aspects of both system environment and information security.
Problem analysis and resolution skills.
Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
Inquiring mindset with the ability to think analytically and provide effective feedback, where appropriate.
Experience securing cloud environments.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines while simultaneously working on multiple projects
