We're looking for a QA Manager who’s passionate about building great teams, building great products, and ensuring those products are of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and mentor a team of highly-skilled QA Engineers and QA Automation Engineers.
- Implement and evolve QA processes to ensure the delivery of consistent, predictable, high-quality product releases.
- Work with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to review new features, develop testing strategies, and create test plans with your team.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure products are of the highest quality.
- Drive effective and timely execution of test cases through tools, automation, and creativity.
- Provide information for Product teams and Release Management to make go/no-go decisions.
- Intake and analyze reported issues, bugs, and defects, recommend and facilitate solutions, and escalate appropriately.
- Write job descriptions, and work with recruiters, your team, and the Director of Engineering to hire new team members.
- Define and execute QA onboarding processes for new team members.
- Manage goal-setting, motivation, and performance management for individual team members.
- Work with Product Managers and other leaders to ensure teams and projects are staffed appropriately.
- Have regular one-on-ones with team members to understand pain points and facilitate communication.
- Act as a communication conduit between individual contributors and the executive team.
- Prepare to scale the QA team.
- Remove roadblocks and resolve conflicts for team members, both technical, and otherwise.
- Contribute to internal tools to improve the development process.
Experience Required
- 5+ years of QA experience in agile / scrum environments
- 5+ years of experience testing web and mobile applications
- 3+ years of experience managing QA teams
- Experience using Git, GitHub (or Bitbucket), and Jira
- Experience using test case management software
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
- Experience with release processes for web and mobile applications
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery platforms
- A desire to foster career growth and build a strong team culture

- JavaScript experience is a plus!
- Fintech experience is a plus!
