Come join the award winning team that brought you the inspiring room-scale VR experience, Gnomes & Goblins. After the success of our ‘Preview’ version, we are now looking for an experienced QA Lead to join our team for the upcoming full-length project. 

The right candidate will be multifaceted and self-motivated, having experience with shipping interactive titles. The ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running and make an impact on our project. 

This position will be on-site at our Venice, California office. There is also the possibility of some travel involved.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Generating test documentation, providing feedback to shape the experience, and executing test cases for the product across different platforms and hardware setups.
• Find and record bugs with clear and concise descriptions, including how to reproduce them.
• Perform daily smoke tests and provide team with status updates of the build in development.
• Organize and conduct playtest sessions / product demos.
• Synthesize findings from user tests, surveys, and feedback into actionable insights for further product iteration.
• Suggest tools, scripts, and best practices to improve test plans, procedures, and overall quality and efficiency.
• Interface directly with producers and project leadership.
• Communicate with leads across all departments to provide assistance, feedback, and support as needed.

Desired Skills:

• 3+ years experience in the video game industry and/or QA experience
• Experience with testing in VR is a big plus
• Familiarity with common QA methodologies and video game development
• Experience in Unreal Engine preferred
• Experience with HMD technology and conducting VR demos
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, documentation skills and attention to detail
• Deep passion for / knowledge of VR/MR, gaming, immersive media, and film
• Experienced with JIRA
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suite and productivity apps
