Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description
TicketGuardian is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team in Newport Beach! As a QA Engineer at TicketGuardian, you’ll work closely with the engineering team to review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. You will also:
- Work closely with Product to gather business requirements and understand the scope of work for engineering teams
- Document system requirements in both technical and non-technical formats
- Estimate, prioritize and plan development & testing activities with engineering teams and assist in determining the best technical implementation methods
- Work heavily on identifying bugs to determine root cause and communicate to engineering team
- Assist in the identification and design of automated processes to increase testing efficiency and reliability
- Write quality code to automatically test various different application types
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of experience working in a software QA role
- Demonstrated experience in test plan creation, prioritization, and execution
- Experience with coding in Python or JavaScript for automated test cases
- Knowledge of requirements gathering, system documentation, and exposure to SOWs
- Experience executing automated scripts using Selenium
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs is a HUGE plus
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
