Job Summary & Responsibilities:

We are looking for QA Engineer with web technology expertise to help raise the quality bar of Motor Trend Group’s VOD/OTT web applications and websites. This position will work with local and remote teams to ensure our digital products for web meet the highest quality standards possible. Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Perform quality assurance testing for MotorTrend web products (frontend and backend)
• Support daily deployment testing
• Develop test plan and test cases, peer-review test cases written by others
• Execute testing and reviews that include functional, integration, analytics, SEO, UI conformity.
• Debug issues, document bugs and track through resolution

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position will not include supervising one or more employees where applicable.

Education/Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in testing web sites and web applications.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge and experience with web technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, React, WordPress, SEO, AMP
• Experience with daily deployment
• Working knowledge with Charles Proxy and other web debugger tools.
• Experience with Analytics testing (Adobe Analytic, Google Analytics, Mux, Conviva)
• Knowledge and experience with testing a large portfolio of high-traffic sites and applications, including the platform applications that power them.
• Knowledge and experience with CI/CD (Jenkins)
• Web test automation experience is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.

Equipment/Software Used:

• Windows or Mac, Microsoft Office Suite, Atlassian Suite, Slack
• Charles, Proxy, Wireshark, Firebug. Web debugger, etc

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated.
