QA Engineer / Lead QA Engineer

We are in need of a highly motivated QA Engineer or Lead to join our fast growing team. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with an integrated team of developers, product managers, and editors for test planning, test development, and product validation (black box testing, regression testing, and user acceptance story tests). This is an entry-level position for someone with 0-2 years of professional experience as a manual tester.
What you’ll do:
- Develop the testing strategies for the testing all of Ranker’s products
- Manage an offshore QA team and be the facilitator between them and the rest of the engineering team
- Design test plans to track the time, effort, and coverage
- Participate in planning sessions, analyzing requirements, and defining acceptance criteria for new features
- Oversee test case documentation and review/create test cases
- Assist with user acceptance and regression testing
- Own the bug backlog and prioritize issues
- Work with Ranker staff on the reporting of bugs and other issues found in-house
- Be an expert on all Ranker products

- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize
Nice-To-Haves:
- Website or mobile app testing experience
- Possess basic knowledge of the development life cycle
- Able to develop, write and execute test plans and test cases based on design specifications and requirements
- JIRA experience
- Automation experience
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
